$50.00 Tickets Available at Convention & Visitors Bureau December 9 - January 3

NEWPORT, RI, December 8, 2010 - If you're still looking for that perfect holiday gift or a special treat for the New Year, George Wein, Producer of the Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals, is offering $50.00 tickets for the 2011 Newport Jazz Festival®. The $50.00 General Admission tickets (regularly priced at $69.00) can be purchased December 9 - January 3 in person at the Newport and Bristol County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), 23 America's Cup Avenue in Newport. The 2011 Newport Jazz Festival® takes over the following weekend, August 5 - 7.

"To celebrate the holidays, we're offering our own jazz festival stimulus package," said Wein. "When we made the $50.00 tickets available for the 2010 festivals, more than 1,200 people took advantage of the discount. We're pleased to give area residents the opportunity to share the joy of the festivals with family and friends at this special price during the holiday season."

This offer is not available on-line or by telephone and is available for General Admission tickets at Fort Adams State Park only.
